A delegation from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) was welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Professor OTAKE Tsubasa (Director, International Exchange Office), Professor HASHIMOTO Naoyuki and Associate Professor OKA Hiroshi on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Ms. CAO Huisi (Teacher), Mr. ZHENG Yaojie (Teacher), Professor OHNUKI Somei (Visiting Professor), and 24 undergraduate students from the School of Materials Science and Engineering visited our campus as part of the Students\u2019 Summer School in Hokkaido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a warm welcome from Dean Habazaki, Professor Otake provided an overview of the School of Engineering. A USTB student representative then gave an engaging presentation about their university and the strong ties with Hokkaido University, fostered through the inter-university exchange agreement signed in 1986.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students also learned about the English Engineering Education (e3) program from a program coordinator and the Division of Material Science and Engineering from Associate Professor Oka. The delegates subsequently participated in a campus tour that included visits to laboratories and research facilities, offering them a closer look at the university\u2019s academic and research environment.<\/p>\n\n\n
