A delegation from National Central University (NCU) were welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Professor TADANAGA Kiyoharu (Dean, Graduate School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering), Professor TABE Yutaka (Director, International Exchange Office), Professor MATSUMOTO Kenichiro and Professor SATO Toshifumi on Friday, August 23, 2024. Professor HSIAU Shu-San (Dean, College of Engineering), Professor HIGUCHI Akon, Professor LEE Tai-Chou and Assistant Professor WANG Hsiao-Fang visited our campus to discuss future collaborations and exchanges.

Not only professors, but also seven undergraduate students and two graduate students from NCU visited our campus to attend the “Hokkaido University-National Central University Joint Symposium on Materials Chemistry and Physics 2024” held between August 22 and August 24. HU and NCU organized this symposium six times previously, and this time was the seventh symposium (four times at NCU and three times at HU).

Originating from National Nanjing Normal College established in China in 1915, NCU was reestablished in Taiwan in 1962. It is one of the top research-oriented universities in the country, with approximately 12,000 students. NCU focuses on holistic education, providing students with a platform for self-learning and the realization of their creativity.
