A delegation from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) were welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Professor TABE Yutaka (Director, International Exchange Office), and Associate Professor OKA Hiroshi on Monday, August 26, 2024. Mr. YIN Chuanju (Vice Dean, School of Materials Science and Engineering), Ms. FAN Lili (Director of the College Office, School of Materials Science and Engineering), Ms. YI Xiaoou (Associate Professor, School of Materials Science and Engineering), Mr. OHNUKI Somei (Visiting Professor), and 29 undergraduate students visited our campus as part of the students’ summer school in Hokkaido. Professor Tabe explained the outline of the School of Engineering, followed by a brief presentation on the English Engineering Education (e3) program by the Director of the International Affairs Office of Engineering. A representative of the USTB students gave an excellent, informative presentation on their school. The delegates enjoyed a campus tour, which included visits to some labs and research facilities.
USTB and HU have a long history of exchanges based on the inter-university exchange agreement signed in 1986.
