A delegation from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) was welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Professor TADANAGA Kiyoharu (Dean, Graduate School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering), Professor OTAKE Tsubasa (Director, International Exchange Office), Professor MATSUMOTO Kenichiro, and Professor SATO Toshifumi on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Professor CHERN Ming-Jyh (Dean, College of Engineering), Professor YU Chin-Yang, and Associate Professor CHIU Yu-Cheng visited our campus to discuss future educational exchange and research collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

Founded in 1974 as the National Taiwan Institute of Technology—the first higher education institution of its kind within the nation’s technical and vocational education system, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has since focused on international applied research to cultivate competitive talent in high-tech and management fields. Guided by its motto, “Precision in Work, Sincerity in Attitude.,” Taiwan Tech’s practical education and applied research are highly regarded by industries across Taiwan.

The Taiwan Tech College of Engineering offers a range of English-taught courses at all academic levels, including an all-English interdisciplinary undergraduate program called the International Advanced Technology Program. Professor Chern emphasized that such English-based programs could serve as a foundation for expanding future student exchange opportunities.
