Prof. Tatsuo Yoshino and 19 students from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Jilin University (JLU) visited the Faculty of Engineering on Monday, July 8th. Prof. Tsuyoshi Setoguchi (Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering) greeted and Prof. Yukinori Kobayashi gave a brief overview of Hokkaido University. Two students from each university presented their research. The group then visited Laboratories of Robotics and Dynamics, Space Utilization and Space Systems. They listened to the explanation about the research topics, and looked experimental equipment of the laboratories with great interest. They will have a campus tour on Wednesday, July 10th.
JLU was established in 1946. Around 70,000 students study on the campus including a large number of international students. HU and JLU signed University-level exchange agreement in October 2000.
