Prof. Oliver Langefeld, head of the Department of Underground Mining Methods and Machinery, Prof. Alfons Esderts, and Ms. Astrid Abel, head of International Center from Clausthal University of Technology(CUT) were welcomed by Prof. Tsuyoshi Setoguchi (Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering), Prof. Taichiro Okazaki (Director, International Exchange Office), and 4 faculty members from Division of Sustainable Resources Engineering on Tuesday, February 7. An active discussion was held on signing agreements and resource education.
After the courtesy visit, they will tour the VR Theater and Lab and enjoy the Sapporo Snow Festival.
CUT was founded in 1775 as a training center for mining and metallurgical technology and was renamed CUT in 1968. Around 4,000 students study on the campus, of whom about 40% are international students, from more than 100 different nationalities.
