Professor XU Guo Qin (Director), Professor LU Li (Principal Investigator and Consultant), Ms. WANG Jia (Associate Director), and Ms. WANG Lei (Manager of Director’s Office) from the National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI Suzhou) were welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering) and Professor SATO Toshifumi on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. They visited our campus to exchange views for research collaboration opportunities.
Located in the Suzhou Industrial Park in China’s Jiangsu Province, NUSRI Suzhou was established on November 15, 2010, to strengthen cooperation in science and education between China and Singapore. It is the first research institute in China to be independently operated and managed by a foreign university. Its mission is to support regional industrial transformation and sustainable development through high-impact research, technology commercialization, and the cultivation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The institute’s key research domains include biomedical & health technology and energy & environmental nanotechnology. NUSRI Suzhou also offers educational programs, including the 311 Program (which allows students to complete a one-year bridging course at NUSRI Suzhou followed by the final year of a master’s degree at NUS in Singapore), the China Immersion Program for Overseas Students, and the Executive Education Program (short, customized executive courses for government agencies and private enterprises).
