Mr. Shengping Li (Secretary of the Communist Party of China Yantai Research Institute Committee), Professor Chunhong Zhang, Associate Professor Lijia Liu, and Dr. Yawen Liu (lecturer) from Yantai Research Institute of Harbin Engineering University were welcomed by Professor HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering) and Professor SATO Toshifumi on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. They visited our campus to exchange views for educational and research exchange opportunities.
Established in 2020 in the Yantai Huangbohai New Area east of the Yellow Sea, Yantai Research Institute of Harbin Engineering University is a new, innovative base that extends Harbin Engineering University’s strength in ship and maritime study, aiming to contribute to regional marine economy development. As a research and talent development center, the institute integrates high-level scientific research, postgraduate education, and university-industry collaboration. Supported by a growing team of full-time and part-time professors and corporate mentors, students engage in interdisciplinary, industry-oriented research across four core disciplines: Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, Electronic Information, Material and Chemistry, and Energy and Power.
