Dr. Sinn-wen Chen, Senior Vice President from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) was welcomed by Prof. Tsuyoshi Setoguchi (Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering), Prof. Naoyuki Hashimoto (Deputy Director of International Exchange Office) and Prof. Tamotsu Kozaki on Wednesday September 25. They held active discussions focused on student exchange. He also visited Prof. Munekazu Ohno and held a seminar.
NTHU was established in Beijing in 1911 as “Tsing Hua Academy.” In 1956, NTHU was re-established in Taiwan. Around 16,000 students study on the campus including a large number of international students. Hokkaido University and NTHU signed University-level exchange agreements in August 2012.
