A visit from Hanyang University

The delegation members from Hanyang University were welcomed by the Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University on Friday, June 23. Prof. AHN, Jinho (Nano Process and Device), Prof. KIM, Hyoun Woo (Head of Division of Materials Science and Engineering, Gas Sensor), Prof. JEON, Hyeongtag (Semiconductor Materials) , Prof. PARK, Jin-Seong (Information Materials and Electro-devices), Prof. PARK, Won Il (Nano Electronics and Photonics), Prof. IM, Won Bin (Opto-Functional Materials and Energy) , Prof. LEE, Jong-Won (Battery Materials), and other faculty members from Hanyang University visited our campus to discuss future collaborative research in Materials Science and Engineering.

Prof. HABAZAKI Hiroki (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Prof. TABE Yutaka (Director, International Exchange Office), Prof. HASHIMOTO Naoyuki, Prof. HAYASHI Shigenori, Prof. OHNO Munekazu, Dr. MATSUSHIMA Hisayoshi and Dr. KUNISADA Yuji (Faculty of Engineering) joined the discussion.

After the courtesy call, the delegation members from Hanyang University and the Faculty members from Hokkaido University had a research meeting.

Hanyang University was founded as the nation’s first engineering institute in 1939 which became the founding facility of Hanyang University. They have two campuses: the Seoul campus and the ERICA campus, and also have about 34,600 students in the 24 colleges. The College of Engineering is one of the best of all colleges at Hanyang University and even in Korea. It has more than 300 full-time faculty members and 7,373 undergraduate and grauduate students which include 555 international students.
