This year e3 celebrates it's 15th anniversary! The English-medium program at the Graduate School of Engineering was started in October 2000 and since then awarded 176 Master’s and 142 Doctoral degrees to students from 43 countries. 115 students from 28 countries are currently enrolled in the program, including 14 Japanese. Nowadays all 12 divisions offer English curriculum and are members of the e3 program. Program is granted 16 MEXT scholarships annually.
3 colorful events are organized to celebrate this date!
1. Seminar “Take the lead: Global Challenges and Education”&group discussions. September 10-11 (main venue: Frontier Building 2 nd floor, seminar room)
Fostering global leaders is one of the missions of the e3 program, as well as strategic goal of Hokkaido University and anniversary seminar will concentrate on the issues –how e3 alumni has taken leadership in their fields, what part of their education experience was relevant to their needs, what are the expectations from the future graduates and how e3 program can meet them. Additionally to the alumni, guest speakers from industry and education are invited to give a talk.
2. Get Together Party. September 10, 18:00~20:00 (Central Cafeteria Second floor)
e3 Students, alumni and professors gather and enjoy time together!
3. Filed Trip. September 12 (Sat)
Day trip to enjoy the beauty of Hokkaido Jozankei- Yoichi Space Museum-Otaru.
