The Graduate School of Engineering held its degree conferral ceremony for graduates completing their studies in September 2026. From the e3 Program, 17 master’s students and 11 doctoral students were awarded their degrees. Surrounded by family members, friends, and faculty who had supported them throughout their time at Hokkaido University, the graduates proudly received their degree certificates.

On September 28th, the e3 Program Office, e3 Student Organization (SO), and senior e3 students welcomed the newly enrolled students at the Faculty of Engineering.
At the orientation, the e3 Program Office introduced the academic system, course registration procedures, and important information about university life. Following the academic guidance, SO members shared practical tips based on their own experiences about studying at Hokkaido University and living in Sapporo.

On August 9, 2026, the e3 Students' Organization (e3 SO) hosted a "Cricket Introduction and Friendly Match" at the baseball field at Mikaho Park, bringing together Hokkaido University students from different countries and backgrounds. The event aimed to promote student development in diverse fields and foster meaningful cross-cultural exchange. For many participants, cricket was a new sport. To help everyone enjoy the game, two students from Pakistan volunteered to introduce the basic rules and explain how to play. With their guidance, participants quickly learned the rules and were ready to take part in the match.

On June 28, 2026, the e3 Students’ Organization (SO) organized a hiking trip to Mt. Maruyama, bringing together 14 international students, two staff members, and a guide.
Mt. Maruyama is a familiar and beloved landmark for Sapporo residents, attracting many people year-round as an easy and accessible place to experience Hokkaido’s natural beauty. We set off for the summit, chatting with friends and stopping along the way to take photos of the surrounding scenery, and reached the top in about an hour.
