On June 28, 2026, the e3 Students’ Organization (SO) organized a hiking trip to Mt. Maruyama, bringing together 14 international students, two staff members, and a guide.
Mt. Maruyama is a familiar and beloved landmark for Sapporo residents, attracting many people year-round as an easy and accessible place to experience Hokkaido’s natural beauty. We set off for the summit, chatting with friends and stopping along the way to take photos of the surrounding scenery, and reached the top in about an hour.
From the summit, we enjoyed a unique view of Sapporo, seeing the city from a quite different perspective from our everyday surroundings. Although the sky was cloudy, we made the most of the peaceful atmosphere by relaxing, taking photos, and spending time together.
Taking a break from our research, studies, and daily routines, we spent a refreshing day outdoors and returned home feeling fully recharged!
