On August 9, 2026, the e3 Students' Organization (e3 SO) hosted a "Cricket Introduction and Friendly Match" at the baseball field at Mikaho Park, bringing together Hokkaido University students from different countries and backgrounds. The event aimed to promote student development in diverse fields and foster meaningful cross-cultural exchange. For many participants, cricket was a new sport. To help everyone enjoy the game, two students from Pakistan volunteered to introduce the basic rules and explain how to play. With their guidance, participants quickly learned the rules and were ready to take part in the match.
The match provided a fun opportunity for students to experience cricket while spending time together outdoors. Participants enjoyed playing, cheering for their teammates, and getting to know other students throughout the day. It was a refreshing break from research, studies, and daily routines. The event brought students together through sports and created an enjoyable opportunity to make new friends and experience the diverse international community at Hokkaido University.
