Education and Research Activities in the School and Graduate School of Engineering
(Countermeasures against the new coronavirus)
Thank you very much for your cooperation in preventing the spread of the new coronavirus through our educational and research activities and classes.
As you know, there has been a rapid increase in the number of new cases of coronaviruses nationwide, and there is particular concern about the highly infectious Omicron strain.
In response to this situation, educational and research activities at the School and Graduate School of Engineering will be suspended as follows, and we ask that you continue your efforts to prevent infection.
Notes
- Many lectures and other classes will be shifted to online classes. In addition, practical training, experiments, exercises, etc. will also be shifted to online classes as much as possible. However, if it is difficult to switch to online classes, we will divide the students into small groups and take thorough measures to prevent infection. In view of the highly infectious nature of the Omicron strain, please take extra care to prevent infection by disinfecting your hands, wearing a mask properly, and maintaining a social distance.
- Final examinations may be held face-to-face after thorough infection prevention measures have been taken. Please take the same precautions as above to prevent infection.
- Thesis presentations, etc. (graduation thesis, master's thesis, and doctoral thesis) are expected to be held online.
- Please consult with your supervisor and conduct your laboratory activities online as much as possible. However, if it is truly necessary, please plan to spend a minimum amount of time in the laboratory and take all possible measures to prevent infection.
